Tide & Timber Custom Homes is a boutique custom-home builder rooted in Western Colorado. Founded by Joshua Francis in 2012 as Colorado Custom Design + Build, the company has grown through craftsmanship, personal relationships, and a belief that an exceptional home should reflect the people who live there.

Our new name represents the balance that inspires both our work and our lives—nature and craftsmanship, adventure and home, timeless design and thoughtful living. While the name is evolving, the ownership, relationships, and commitment behind every project remain unchanged.

Built on Experience

Joshua’s connection to construction began early, working alongside his father in commercial construction. He later developed his experience at FCI Constructors, one of the region’s most respected construction companies. Drawn to the creativity and personal nature of custom homes, Joshua founded his own company to build differently: with greater attention, honest communication, and genuine care for every detail.

Today, Joshua remains personally involved throughout each project. By intentionally building only a small number of homes each year, Tide & Timber can provide the thoughtful, hands-on experience that truly custom homes deserve.
